WHAT A RELIEF !
You went on a wonderful vacation and as you returned back home, you got a shock of your life as you realised that you had a break-in. In panic you start looking for your most precious things and to your surprise every precious and valuable things were intact. Ah! what a relief! What am I trying to tell you?
Jesus was at the house of Mary, Martha & Lazarus where Martha was busy with the chores while Mary was seated at the feet of Jesus. Martha was not happy about it and complained to Jesus to which Jesus said “There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 What Mary chose was the presence of Jesus Christ and it will never be taken away from her. In this brief life you can get worried about so many things but it is not worth it.
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it. Matthew 13:44-46
Above parables talk about a person who understood the reality of what is really precious to him and was willing to give up everything to obtain it. Are you living your life with an understanding of what is the most precious in your life? If you do then you would rejoice because what is really most precious and valuable will remain with you forever. WHAT A RELIEF!
