Suicidal Tendency
It was truly a divine appointment. My old friend decided to meet up for a cup of coffee at a coffee shop and this is what happened:
Friend: As I wake up in the mornings, I struggle with a thought of suicide. Thoughts like ‘what’s a point of all these struggles?’ comes to my mind.
Many years back one of my friends called me over the phone and said “I am about to commit suicide and I thought I will let you know.” On hearing this I said that even though you don’t believe what I believe but let me tell you that you will end up in hell.”
Friend: Why
Because you are killing someone and that someone is you. Once you do that you don’t have a chance to repent as you are already dead.
Friend: Is there heaven or hell?
Yes
Friend: What about next birth?
I do not believe in next birth. Because the bible says that it is appointed for a man to die once and then face judgement. There is only one life.
Friend: Hmm
Moreover have you ever seen any specie seeking God?
Friend: No. They just follow their instincts.
Yes. Judgement is about morality and they can’t be judged since they don’t have a moral framework and just instincts.
Friend: Then how will one can go to heaven?
What do you think?
Friend: By doing more good deeds.
Suppose there is a man who has done all the good deeds but one and says to the judge, spare me. What do you think a good judge would do?
Friend: He will not spare. Then what will happen?
Suppose your relationship is broken with your mom because of your mistake. What will you do to mend it?
Friend: I will ask for forgiveness.
If forgiveness is the only way to mend a broken relationship between you and your mom. Is it not the same between you and God.
Friend: Yes
Suppose you took a huge loan from your friend which you are unable to pay and your friend says that I cancel your loan. You got it for free put who paid the cost?
Friend: My friend.
Would you agree that the one who forgives pays the cost?
Friend: Yes
So when God forgives, who pays the cost?
Friend: God.
Did God pay the cost for the forgiveness of our sins?
Friend: Don’t know.
This is exactly what Jesus did on the cross. He took your sins, and my sins, sins of the whole and sacrificed his life on the cross.
Friend: I am getting goose bumps. I think our friendship has a higher purpose.
Yes. I believe so.
Friend : What should I do now.
You pray to the creator of the universe save you . Especially during early morning as you get up.
Friend: It was really great having this conversation. I feel so happy now.
